Sensory Integration Disorders I have a little card that I recently got that has the signs and symptoms of Autism on it for when people make stupid comments about my son's behaviour. Perhaps you could make one up for SID? I hand mine to people and don't say a word, let them feel like jerks for being so judgemental of someone else's child. Every kid goes at thier own speed, why is everyone in such a bend to force every kid to be the same as all the others? That is what I find so frustrating about going out in public with my child, but I'll be damned if I am going to stay at home because someone else is so ignorant.

Happy Birthday Jordan!!!

Ok, this is where I lose the respect of all of my readers, by blogging my thoughts as I had them this morning while driving the boys to camp.
Of course I was running late, got the boys to school in the nick of time. But as I was leaving my gas light went on. I think to myself," Damn it now I need to stop for gas. I have so much to do this morning, oh well, guess I should have eaten beans for breakfast." Then my next thoughts were of inventing a car where it would utilize methane for fuel, you could use animal leavings for this or the car would be equipped with a 'methane collection system'. You could re-fuel your car as you drove, ensuring that you ate plenty of heart healthy fiber and beans. The world would be a much better place for a device such as this. Don't you think? I mean we would all live a little longer as we would be eating much healthier stuff, relaxed because as we all know beer would have the dual purpose of tranquilizer/fuel source for our cars. Have I lost anyone yet?? Not sure what sort of effect all the extra methane in the environment would have on the Ozone layer though, would the holes in the layer become much bigger? or not? What are anyone's thoughts on this?

I read an interesting article in this months Autism and Asperger Digest. It is a book review by a woman that has Asperger's Syndrome When I read articles like this, I see myself so clearly and remember the pain and struggle I felt as a kid and even now as an adult. God, I am glad that I am now coming to understand what it is that makes me so different from other people. I am a total social idiot. People act towards me like I am slow, I can see it from thier expressions and the manner in which they address me. I have learned through the years to play a game of sorts. Like when someone says "Hello" the next part of the game is to say "hello" back and so forth. ANYWAYS, if you get a chance to check out the two links that I have highlighted here and you are interested you will learn some cool stuff!
