This is a really interesting web site that has every concievble sign on it, in a variety of Languages. Polish, French, South African...etc. I am having a great time re-learning a lot of the signs that I had forgotten over the years. I hope that you all check it out and learn a sign or two.

I got some very good replies in regards to my previous entry. I hope that no one thinks that I am fence sitting in my opinions. I guess that I just didn't know that someone was being targeted, I didn't see any names. I mean, were there names included in any posts, aside from Spacey Blogs, that I was missing? I have had a lot of folks tell me that they didn't know who was being dissed but obviously someone was. I think that quite frankly shadefruede is playing the game of "lets see who I can tick off today" You either play the game or you don't.

When you attack other people for attacking you are you not turning into them?

I mean, correct me if I'm wrong. But aren't blogs basically for us all to write about whatever the hell we want to? I don't think that shadenfreude has done anything out of bounds, I mean, there is no way that anyone is going to cow me into writing anything on here that I don't feel like writing. Or deleting it either.

Hmmmmm, I always sort of figured this anyways......

Today while I was picking up my son's from the school summer program I noticed that the swallow nests that had been in the eaves of the overhang on the front of the school were knocked down and there was a crew sweeping up the remains. Come to find out that there were some kids there the night before throwing big rocks at the nests that had baby swallows in them yet. Unsupervised no doubt, destroying life with little or no respect at all for it. What is wrong with this picture? I know that parents need 'down time'. Trust me, I'm the first to squeal when my kids get to be too much at times, but to let them loose to wreck havoc on little defenseless bird nests, well, that is wrong. I know that the parents in all likelyhood didn't say, "Now Johnny, go and destroy those swallow nests like a good boy!". But what I hear from parents I know personally is "I'm just soooo busy!!"
Let me tell you this.....If you become too busy to take the time to make sure that your children are properly supervised instead of out doing God-knows-what then you have to know that your priorities are in the wrong place. Don't end up as a parent of a teenager shaking your head saying "I just don't know what went wrong" Here's a freaking clue, Johnny didn't have anyone to teach him right from wrong, it's not an innate reflex kids are born with!!

Take your ME time when your kids are asleep or arrange with your friends either from your neighborhood, church or even work to have a babysitting co-op. And NO, I don't think that a child of 14 is too old to insist on close supervision. That is when they are MOST likely to get into serious trouble with many things, Sex, drugs and violence. Do you want that for your child? I know I don't.

I am trying to use a font called Sparkly, I saw it on a site that Liz A sent me to. Cool site too! Fonts for kids! I'll try not to use them all on here, lol. Just the ones that seem to be of the same genre.

This is the kind of day I have had. I had to take my fil to 2 appts. today, ok, so that's no biggie. But when I have to take my 3 kids with me cause I have no family that will or can watch them it sucks! So much fun to be in the neurologist's office with an 81 year old getting pissed at kids (mine) that won't sit down like I'm nicely asking them. Then he starts raising his voice saying that if they had been his kids they wouldn't be acting like that. He would have made it so they didn't!!! So I say, 'oh really? And how would you have done that...?' He says 'I'd take care of it!' me says, 'By doing what?' He says, "Well, you can just ask Ernie, he's MY son you know!!!"
GOD, I hate the downhill progression of his Alzheimers. I haven't been leaving him with the kids alone at all in the last couple months, I can't, I don't trust that he won't do something wierd to them. I'll just keep reminding myself that there is being tolerant and there is being a doormat, I will no longer be the latter!

If there are any Pocono Mom's on here I just wanted to let you all know that The Crisis Pregnancy of the Pocono's will be having a Family Picnic on August 18th, 2001 at Camp Streamside in Reeders, Pennsylvania. From 2:00-7:00 pm. There will be a Pig Roast, Country Dancing, swimming, paddle boats, volleyball and a silent auction.

Queen Chris Queen Chris......Pouting, I'm not a friend of the Queen's! Ack! I guess I let my blog suck too much,lol! I'll have to earn my place back onto peoples daily read lists, I have noticed that I have been dropped! (this is not meant to be mean or anything, just realization that I need to challenge myself into writing better. )
