I'd better start blogging more regularly!
Such a busy month ahead of me. Busy in a good way. Lot's of work to do, glad to have it.
Life at Church has hit another iceberg type situation. Appears that the new secretary that we hired has been found to be either living in or to have lived in sin with an either married or seperated man. Most of the members of session want her to make the situation right by either resigining or not continuing to act in an immoral manner. I personally don't feel that it's my place to judge her, based on scriptural learnings. "Judge not lest ye be judged twice as harshly".
I mean that if you want to start throwing rocks, look at everyone that does a significant amount of work for the church. We have plenty of moral issues there. It just happens that sexual conduct is the last shocking fronteir. All the folks there with asses so fat that they can hardly pass through the aisles of the church without having anyone's nose up thier butt, that's a sin of gluttony. Gossip, well, yes, I hear plenty and have even participated in that myself. But what judges we can make ourselves when it comes to the habits of others sexual habits. Personally, I would rather not know. My mind never even came to that conclusion upon seeing the two of them together during coffee hour and the church picnic.
But the braintrust spearheading this little witch hunt is none other than a previously married, divorced and remarried pharisee. He is such a challenge to me spritually. I guess the Lord knows what he is doing by putting him in my path, but like usual when I get these challenges I would rather it be someone else that gets to deal with him. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you..."
